Ruby Rose will be playing Batwoman in an upcoming series

In super news, Ruby Rose has been cast as Batwoman for an upcoming series on The CW.
You can first spy her character, Kate Kane, during the network’s annual DC Arrowverse crossover event this December. A standalone series is also in development, so we could be seeing more of the Aussie actress soon.
If you’re not familiar, Arrowverse is a shared fictional universe which centres on a number of characters from DC comics, including the Green Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl.
According to the plot, Rose’s character will also be a lesbian and if the show does get picked up, her character will reportedly be the first gay lead superhero. This should hopefully pave the way for more LGBTQIA+ representation in the comic book universe.
