Liam Gallagher: As You Were

WORDS BY BIANCA O’NEILL

Oasis, is that you?

If, like me, you’ve been lamenting the state of rock these days, I’ve got great news for you: Oasis is back.

Or perhaps the half that matters: that voice.

Liam Gallagher’s first debut album is not really a debut – it’s basically just another Oasis album, updated for 2017.

But it’s Oasis done Liam’s way and thankfully, he didn’t come here to reinvent the wheel.

Opening with the well-received single ‘Wall Of Glass’, As You Were does everything it says on the box: simple, soulful Brit-rock that shows up Coldplay’s latest and makes everything Muse has ever done appear an empty shell of mediocrity.

Solid, enjoyable, and with a few subtle digs at his brother. What more could you want?
