Electronic duo Polythought releases debut single

Inspired by Nicholas Jaar.

Polythought is the brand new, creative collaboration between Oliver Tank and producer Vinay Matta (Hansaa) releasing innovative pop, based in sound design.

After meeting in Sydney and connecting on a shared love for electronic music, the duo has spent the last six months writing their debut mixtape, Retrospect.

Writing and producing their debut single in Flume’s studio in Artarmon, they played with improvisation and an auto-tune pedal to get the right sound.

Inspired by Nicholas Jaar, Shlomo and Boards of Canada, the duo builds sounds through experimentation with organic, vocal and electronic sounds.

Following the release of their debut single, ‘Alone’ and after being confirmed to perform at this year’s Bigsound in Brisbane, Polythought are only just scratching the surface of their potential.
