How it feels/smells/looks

I recently purchased this foundation after a makeup artist recommended it. It’s fair to say, it hasn’t let me down. I love the finish. As the name suggests, it’s glowy, but blends into the skin seamlessly to make it seem like your complexion is free of any imperfections. It makes your skin radiate from all angles without looking too oily, and doesn’t settle into any fine lines or feel heavy. Scent-wise, it does have the signature YSL fragrance, so if you’re not a fan of perfumed face products, you probably won’t like it.

Why I like it

The coverage is light-to-medium, with a buildable formula you can really work up if that’s what you’re after. The wear time on this product is perfect for an eight-hour workday, making it a great everyday foundation – I find it’s not too heavy, not too light. It also has some great ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and antioxidants to keep skin nourished.

Areas for improvement

Unfortunately, as can be standard in the luxury cosmetics industry, the foundation only comes in 12 shades. Although YSL classifies this product as a tinted moisturiser (which can give more flexibility when shade matching), 12 is nowhere near enough.
