I’m a notoriously nosy person when it comes to products. I want to know whether you double cleanse at night, and if so which cleansers you use. I want to know if there’s some special hair contraption or pair of tweezers that have (hyperbole warranted) changed your life. I want to know what curl definer you use and which lip balm you swear by.

But my interest in products doesn’t just pertain to the world of beauty – I’m always eager to hear about an air fryer that someone loves so much they’ve convinced their entire extended family to get one, or a laptop stand that’s corrected their posture and improved their quality of life by at least 25 per cent.
In short, I adore products. This is why I’ve asked some of our favourite Australian beauty and skincare influencers for their top three products, AKA the products they simply cannot live without. The scope is broad – it can genuinely be any three products, as long as they’re the three they value the most.
Joining us this week is the Sydney-based entrepreneur and Founder of Lanolips, Kirsten Carriol. As the creator of one of Australia’s most successful beauty exports, Kirsten is known for her ultra-hydrating products (like the famous 101 Ointment) that are boosted with the goodness of lanolin. Outside of the cult favourites she formulated, I wanted to know the makeup bits Kirsten loves most. Read on to find out.
Product one: Lanolips 12-Hour Overnight Lip Mask

How did you first discover this product?
The 12-Hour Overnight Lip Mask is our newest baby. We launched last month and I’m obsessed! It’s packed with ceramides, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and of course, Lanolips’ staple ingredient – pure-grade Lanolin. It’s not left my bedside since!
What is it and why do you love it?
Essentially, it’s Lanolips 101 Ointment but supercharged! The extra rich, buttery, cloud-like balm rehydrates and repairs your lips while you sleep.

Product two: Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen

How did you first discover this product?
I’ve used liquid eyeliner since I was 18 because it makes it so easy to add the finishing touches to a face. I have used Stila Waterproof Liner exclusively for 15 years and I love it!
What is it and why do you love it?
Stila’s Eyeliner Pen is perfect! The fine felt tip applicator makes it super simple to use and its budge-proof formula never transfers or smudges, yet it’s easy to remove with any gentle cleanser.
Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?
I always pick mine up when I go past Mecca or Sephora. It’s a great addition to anyone’s makeup bag, experienced or not with liquid eyeliner.
Product three: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

How did you first discover this product?
A few years ago I tried a whole raft of foundations and this one was truly the best.
What is it/what does it do and why do you love it?
The formula is silky and has a finish that’s best described as half matte, half hydrating. It goes on perfectly over my Face Base and has coverage that evens out my skin tone without hiding all my freckles.
Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?
I recommend this foundation to all my closest friends. I usually order from Adore Beauty or Sephora.
