To support our growth, we’re looking for a passionate Production Assistant to join us in our newly expanded head office in Rosebery, Sydney. Reporting to our Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the production team with day-to-day tasks and providing general admin support across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive parcels from offshore suppliers, check and distribute to relevant departments/team members
- Sending parcels to offshore suppliers and keeping records of parcels
- Email correspondence with suppliers for all shipments sent and received
- Cross-check invoice being billed by DHL to ensure it is matched back to Parcels being sent/received & signed/handover
- Manage and keep an accurate record of all samples Shona Joy receives (including fit, PP, shipping samples) ensure all samples are tagged appropriately
- Ensuring the number of samples received that need to be fitted are communicated to the team each day
- Manage the booking of Fit Models each week
- Track/monitor all production samples that are borrowed by other departments. Maintain a regular checking process in order to have samples returned in a timely manner
- Create and update Mini boards on the wall for Mainline/Bridesmaids/Basics/Stock cut.
- Assist with past season folders and sample archiving
- Assist Production Manager/Merchandisers when required (eg: Costing template, Checking yield from Teck pack for Fabric calculation)
- Provide general admin support for the production team as and when required.
- Check the Design Tech pack before sending it to offshore suppliers
- Attend the Range fabric/Trims handover with the Design team
- Finalize the lining, zipper code/colour, and trims to be used in bulk with the Design team
- Ensuring all DTM trims/lining/zipper/thread used in bulk production samples are being received and approved prior to production commencing
- Checking Bulk fabric submissions against the PO for weight, usable width and any other specifications set out on the PO ensuring all details are recorded on the fabric header
- Keep a record of the approved bulk fabric/lining shipping sample/batch colour for each PO and build in the library on the fabric hanger rack
- Emailing offshore supplier’s comments/approval of bulk lining/trim/accessories
- Provide information on labelling (type of main label to be used, labels sewing method on the garment, swing tags, and disclaimer tags)
- Provide care/washing instructions required for each style/fabrication
- Allocate EAN code for each style/story/season in AP21
- Provide packaging information for each style & fabrication
- Develop new labels & swing tags with label suppliers if required
- Check if all labels/swing tags/disclaimer tags/stickers required for each style are sewn onto bulk shipping samples before passing them to the Merchandiser/QC Manager
- Manage and order labels/return tags/price tickets/barcode stickers for Local/international Customers such as David Jones, Free People, Nordstrom, and Intermix
KEY SKILLS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, confident and proactive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel
