Role Description
Social-first agency WE THE PEOPLE, is looking for an enthusiastic Social Content Creative Producer with fashion and beauty experience to join our growing team in Melbourne.
WE THE PEOPLE is a social-first agency helping brands to Own The Moment. We believe that to conquer attention on social & digital platforms today, brands need to find the right mix of speed, culture & creativity to shape behaviour. We’ve got offices in Melbourne, Sydney & Auckland and count ourselves lucky to be working with some of Australia’s leading brands such as Berocca, Jetstar, Amazon, Cobram Estate & Bega, alongside a growing roster of fashion and beauty clients like UNIQLO and Target.
About The Role
As a Social Content Creative Producer, you’ll be supporting the Social Lead to develop strategy and content creation on key client partner accounts. This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about social media and has their finger on the pulse of content trends, culture-first creativity, emerging platforms, and formats. You’ll be responsible for creating interesting and engaging stories across various social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Working both independently and with other team members, you’ll be up for a creative challenge and ready to take a step forward in your career.
This particular pod works predominantly with fashion and beauty brands, including Target and UNIQLO, so a real interest in those categories and a feel for the aesthetic guardrails that come with them will serve you well. You’ll also be editing from early on, so we’re looking for someone comfortable in Premiere Pro from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Working across several renowned brands to develop social media content aligned with the brand’s social media strategy.
- Developing strategies and tactics to help our clients achieve their commercial objectives through social media.
- Ideating and creating engaging social-first content ideas across a range of platforms from tactical ideas to bigger platform ideas across static, video and design graphics, working within each brand’s aesthetic guidelines while still pushing the creative.
- Getting behind the camera yourself, shooting on set and capturing content on an iPhone as confidently as on a full production.
- Owning every stage of the production process, from pre-production and ideation to sourcing talent through to editing in post.
- Engaging with our client partners in the course of the development, delivery and optimisation of social media strategy and content.
- Working with other agency teams to support the planning and deployment across earned & paid channels.
- Participating in meetings, discussions and presenting your ideas to clients and other team members.
What we offer you….
- A fun and energetic workplace full of passionate, creative people.
- Based in our Collingwood office.
- Flexible working arrangements; we’re not just about the 9 – 5 and offer flexibility in the ways we work.
- Opportunity to grow your career through professional development and up-skill opportunities at We The People.
- The chance to build your career in our growing team.
You’ll be bringing to the table…
- 4+ years of social media marketing and/or content creation experience.
- A strong understanding of the fashion and/or beauty categories, ideally with experience working on fashion, beauty or lifestyle brands in previous roles, and an eye for the aesthetic standards and brand guardrails those categories demand.
- The ability to capture and edit engaging content suitable for social media channels.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro. You’ll be hitting the ground running on edits with minimal training.
- Prior experience developing social media content and copywriting. The ability to create engaging visual social media assets and a solid understanding of the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to confidently share ideas and present work to other team members and clients.
- Strong organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed on tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to work and delivering great results for clients.
- Previous experience in an agency or in-house background, or you are an experienced and successful social content creator in your own right.
