WA designers are taking on VAMFF
Curious Birdy & S.Rush collaboration collection.
This year Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival is bringing in talent from all over Australia. Independent Western Australian designers Curious Bird and S.Rush, will be launching their debut collaborative collection of rainy day accessories and contemporary streetwear as part of festival’s offsite runway series.
The collection pays homage to the designers’ dual love of whimsy, small quirks and intricate details that take outfits from ordinary to extraordinary. Transforming what is classically wearable into a statement piece.
Focusing on simple silhouettes in an array of adventurous textures, classic shapes are transformed with powder-puff shades, high-gloss sheen, and rain-proof glitter. The collection will completely glam up everyday attire.
The design duo will transform Melbourne’s Blender Studios Dark Horse Gallery into a surreal cloudscape for the launch, effectively transporting guests to another world.
