Conscious label Lylou launches with debut collection, ‘Terra’

“We want to empower women.”

Incoming Melbourne label Lylou has just launched its debut collection, a summer offering dubbed Terra.

Using eco luxurious plant-based fabric, Lylou is a 100 per cent plastic-free, biodegradable and vegan fashion brand, inspired by romance and nature.

“We are part of the slow fashion movement, offering quality, timeless garments working exclusively with plant-based fabrics to protect our oceans from microplastic pollution. We work with slower production schedules, fair wages, a low carbon footprint and target zero waste,” says Lylou founder and director, Soraya Bozzetto.

Soft textiles like linen, Tencel and bamboo are used across jumpsuits, maxi dresses, high-waisted pants and tops in an earthy colour palette, inspired by nature. Sand, sea foam, moonstone and rainforest green are mixed with ochre, terracotta and clay, paying homage to the ancient beauty of the Australian earth.

With a clear focus on sustainability, Lylou provides a strong option for eco-conscious shoppers. “We want to empower women by offering them the opportunity to live sustainably and in effortless, beautiful style,” notes Bozzetto.

Terra is now available to shop online.
