Tyler, the Creator taps up-and-coming illustrators to design a Converse collection

Following on from several successful collaborations, Tyler, the Creator has again been busy working with Converse.
The rapper has curated an Artist Series of sneakers for the brand, inviting two emerging illustrators to cover various Converse silhouettes in their sketches.
One of the rapper’s closest friends, Wyatt Navarro, was tasked with coming up with a design for the Chuck 70, covering it in bright and colourful doodles reminiscent of Los Angeles’ street art.
Tyler’s second artist of choice, Øyvind Lauvdahl, was discovered via Instagram. The Norwegian illustrator was offered the chance to design a One Star, showing off his dark, underground aesthetic.
The duo then worked together on another Chuck 70, each designing one side of the shoe in their contrasting styles.
The Converse Artist Series, curated by Tyler, the Creator, is available exclusively from Foot Locker from November 26.
