An Eevee Tamagotchi could be coming to reignite your obsession

Few ’90s obsessions were as unstoppable as Pokémon and Tamagotchi, but it’s taken until now for the two to be combined.

Sure, Nintendo released a series of similar virtual pet games featuring Pikachu in 1998, and a breeding game for the Pokémon Mini in 2002.

But according to a leaked image, as reported by Serebii, an actual Nano Tamagotchi could be coming. And it’ll let you raise your own Eeevee.

After your egg (or Poké Ball?) hatches, it’ll be up to you to care for Eevee. Duties will include the usual feeding and poop-cleaning. Depending on how you do, your baby will then evolve into one of the eight Eeveelutions.

The image also suggests an option to dress your pet Eevee up in costumes, including a Team Rocket hat.

Nintendo hasn’t confirmed the game’s release just yet, but we can cross our fingers that it happens, and that Australia doesn’t miss out when it does.
