Friday Night Lights: The Musical is happening

Clear eyes. Full hearts. We can’t wait.

2011 was a shattering year for Friday Night Lights fans everywhere. We never thought the show would come to life again, at least not in the theatre.

Thanks to the geniuses who brought us The Unauthorised O.C. Musical, their latest creative endeavour is The Unauthorised Friday Night Lights Musical.

The show might be opening in Los Angeles next year, but that doesn’t stop us from being excited now.

Not many details have been dropped at this point, but what we do know is that Scott Porter will be playing the role of Eric Taylor. Porter played Coach Taylor’s protégé Jason Street, in the original 2006-2011 series.
