Woolworths confirms refusal to stock the new Coke No Sugar

They hear your cries.

‘Devastated’ is possibly the only way to describe our feelings about Coke Zero getting the cut.

But it looks like our mates at Woolies are saving the day. Today the supermarket has announced it has no plans to replace Coke Zero with the new Coca-Cola No Sugar.

Woolworths has confirmed it will continue to stock the Zizz and only the Zizz for the time being.

“We have taken the decision to not range this product at this time,” a spokesperson told news.com.au.

“Our customers looking for a no sugar or low sugar cola option have ample choice already in the category across a range of different pack sizes and formats.”

The decision should be worrying for Coca-Cola, with Coke No Sugar introduced to recover dropping sales. According to news.com.au, the brand’s products have been on a downward trajectory for more than a decade.

It’s a bold move for Woolworths, considering Coles is stocking No Sugar as well as Coke Zero.

Once Coke Zero does get axed, however, it is expected Woolworths will then introduce Coke No Sugar to its shelves.
