Pit bulls wearing flower crowns is the cutest thing you’ll see all day

Words by Rosie Macquire

Cuteness overload.

As part of a Kickstarter campaign, animal advocate and doggo photographer Sophie Gamand is set to launch a new coffee table book titled Pitbull Flower Power.

The book’s imagery comes from Gamand’s 2014 photographic series Flower Power, Pit Bulls of the Revolution, which was created to challenge the negative way society views the pit bull breed. She believes her book will help people recognise that pit bulls have been demonised for decades and as a result, are prone to abandonment and abuse.

Along with inspiring stories, the book will show portraits from the series, with pups dressed up in flower crowns to symbolise their gentle nature.

The book will be released in October, just in time for Pit Bull Awareness Month and Adopt A Shelter Dog Month.

You can read more about the series on Gammand’s website, and a Kickstarter pledge of $97 will get you a copy of the book.
