‘The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants’ is heading to the stage, because everything’s a musical now?

Words by Tara Smith

Nothing is safe.

Remember The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants?

Despite the unrealistic expectations it set for jeans everywhere, it was a coming-of-age story that introduced us to the lives of Tibby, Bridget, Carmen and Lena.

Now, the story is set to be adapted into a stage musical. Because apparently, nothing is safe from Broadway.

While details are currently few and far between, this is what we know so far: it’s being produced by Scott Delman, who is also behind the Broadway adaptations of Mean Girls, 1984 and American Idiot.

We can only hope it’s better than The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants sequel.
