It’s all in the hair

We’re feeling pretty inspired after checking out BLAIRARCHIBALD’s runway at Fashion Week. But it wasn’t just the clothing we had eyes for.

ELEVEN Australia was responsible for creating dewy, natural waves inspired by the workwear references in the brand’s collection. If you want to try your hand at recreating the look, follow hair director Melvin Royce-Lane’s easy steps below.

For long hair

1. Prep damp hair with Miracle Hair Treatment.

2. Spray a generous amount of Sea Salt Texture Spray on to the hair.

3. Once the hair is diffused, create a horizontal section starting from eye level.

4. Using a 1 1/2 inch curling iron, take two-inch sections and create a soft bend by turning the iron completely halfway then releasing the clamp.

5. Use the same motion but in the opposite direction. Continue this formation until the entire head is complete.

6. Using the Orange Carbon Fibre Comb rake the waves out to create separation.

7. Shake the waves out using your hands to create an undone, tousled look.

8.Create an irregular parting just off the centre of the head and tuck hair behind ears.

9. Finish off with Smooth & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum throughout the mid-lengths and ends to create a dewy look, then add another layer of Sea Salt Texture Spray to create a wet-look finish.

For short hair

1. Prep damp hair with Miracle Hair Treatment.

2. Spray a generous amount of Sea Salt Texture Spray on to the hair.

3. Scrunch the Sea Salt Texture Spray through the hair to encourage natural texture, making sure the hair is pushed forward to create a face frame and an irregular parting.

4. Using a diffuser, diffuse dry the hair until bone dry.

5. Once the shape is created, spray another layer of Sea Salt Texture Spray to create a wet look finish.
