Jury’s still out on this one.

Having recently returned from a trip to Europe, I can finally say I get fashion’s current obsession with Ugg boots. Kind of.

It seems much of the world is still living in the ’00s, and Ugg Boots are still an appropriate type of footwear, which might be why yet another designer is having its turn at reinventing the slipper.

Y/Project has teamed up with Ugg, for a new thigh-high version which was debuted at Paris Fashion Week Men’s.

The design keeps comfort front of mind, with Y/Project designer Glenn Martens stating: “Putting on Uggs is like putting your foot in a warm pot of butter, and I thought why not elevate that and immerse your full legs!”

TBH, his analogy hasn’t really convinced us that this design is a good idea. In fact, we’re still firm believers Uggs are an inside-the-house shoe only.
