My Mum Made It
Senior eCommerce Specialist

| job title: | Senior eCommerce Specialist |
| location: | Brisbane |
| work type: | Full-time |
| level: | Senior |
Role Description
My Mum Made It is a fashion label rooted in sustainability, creative storytelling, and a distinct editorial aesthetic. We’re a small, capable team with a thoughtful tech stack and a strong creative point of view. We’re entering a growth stage and hiring a Senior Ecommerce Specialist to own digital execution end-to-end.
Role Overview
Own the day-to-day execution of MMMI’s digital channel. You’ll run paid ads, build and deploy email, manage Shopify operations and merchandising, and drive on-page SEO and conversion improvements. The Marketing Manager sets direction; you make it happen and own the numbers that follow.
This is a hands-on senior specialist role. You’ll be in the ad accounts, in Klaviyo, and in Shopify every day. This is a high pace role requiring very strong attention to detail and KPI delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Paid advertising
- Own end-to-end execution across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Pinterest, TikTok and Google Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax).
- Funnel architecture — TOF/MOF/BOF separation, prospecting vs retargeting budget split, audience exclusion logic, campaign objective selection per stage.
- A/B testing methodology — proper test design, statistical significance, isolating variables, avoiding “two changes at once” errors.
- Measurement & attribution — understanding the gap between platform-reported ROAS, GA4, and Shopify; using blended ROAS / MER as a sanity check; iOS14 / signal loss awareness.
- Budget pacing & scaling — when to scale a winning campaign vs build a parallel one, how to handle CPM/CPC drift, dayparting.
- Build, launch, and optimise campaigns aligned to the marketing calendar.
- Own ROAS as the headline metric, with weekly reporting to the Marketing Manager.
- Brief creative requirements to internal/external designers and ensure assets land on time.
email marketing
- Build, schedule, and deploy campaign sends (Klaviyo) against the marketing calendar.
- Own and improve core flows: welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, and the existing pre-order overdue flow.
- Segmentation strategy, list hygiene, deliverability monitoring.
- Report on email revenue contribution and flow performance monthly.
shopify operations and merchandising
- Manage the product catalogue: products, variants, collections, metafields, tags, inventory visibility.
- Site merchandising — collection sorting, featured products, homepage modules, PDP content, navigation.
- Launch and promo setup — discount codes, automatic discounts, banners, countdowns, landing pages.
- Theme management within the Shopify admin (sections, blocks, content) — no Liquid or custom code required.
- Pre-launch QA across all drops: links, images, prices, sizing, descriptions, mobile experience.
- App stack management — adding, removing, and configuring Shopify apps as the channel evolves.
conversion optimisation and on-page SEO
- Identify and prioritise CVR improvements across PDP, collection, cart, and checkout.
- Run A/B tests and propose changes based on data, not opinion.
- Own on-page SEO hygiene — titles, meta descriptions, alt text, product copy, URL structure, internal linking.
- Work with the Marketing Manager on content/landing page strategy for SEO.
reporting and analytics
- Weekly channel report: revenue, traffic, CVR, AOV, paid ROAS, email revenue, top movers.
- Monthly deeper dive with the Marketing Manager and Director.
- Comfortable in GA4, Shopify Analytics, Klaviyo reporting, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads.
- Flag anomalies early — drops in CVR, sync issues, broken funnels — and raise with the right person.
Collaboration with the broader stack
- Partner with the Marketing Manager on calendar planning, campaign execution, and channel strategy.
- Liaise with the Director on anything that touches the technical stack
- Brief external creative partners (designers, photographers) to keep the asset pipeline flowing.
- Stay out of wholesale operations — that channel sits with Del Rainbow and the Director.
What you’ll own
- DTC revenue performance (paid + email + site)
- Paid advertising ROAS across Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and Google
- Email channel revenue contribution
- Site conversion rate and key funnel metrics
- Speed and quality of campaign and launch execution
- Shopify catalogue accuracy and site merchandising quality
What we’re looking for / must-have experience
- 3–6+ years in ecommerce / digital marketing roles, ideally in DTC fashion, apparel, or lifestyle brands.
- On day one you must be able to set up and launch all paid ads and email marketing on your own
- Hands-on Shopify experience (Shopify Plus and Markets a strong plus) — comfortable in the admin without needing a developer.
- Demonstrated ownership of Meta Ads, Pinterest Ads, TikTok Ads and Google Ads campaigns with concrete ROAS examples you can talk through.
- Strong Klaviyo skills — flow building, segmentation, campaign deployment, not just “have used it”.
- Working knowledge of GA4 and ecommerce analytics.
- Sharp eye for site quality — typos, broken links, broken mobile views — and a habit of QA before launch.
- Strong communication skills with solid experience presenting to senior management
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Cin7 Omni or similar inventory systems.
- Experience working alongside custom integration layers
- Pre-order or made-to-order business model experience.
- Basic Liquid familiarity (light coding and use of AI)
- Experience working with external paid agencies or freelance creatives.
How you work
- Operator’s mindset — you’d rather ship and iterate than plan in perpetuity.
- Numerate and commercially curious — you want to know why a number moved, not just that it did.
- Comfortable with shorthand communication and a fast-moving environment.
- Self-managing — you can take a calendar, a brief, and a deadline and deliver without hand-holding.
- Pragmatic about tools and budget — you choose lean, maintainable solutions over expensive platforms by default.
- Comfortable pushing back constructively when you see a better path.
What we offer
- A senior, high-trust role with real ownership and visibility.
- A small, capable team where decisions happen quickly.
- Room to grow into an Ecommerce Manager title and broader remit as the channel scales.
- Annual performance bonus up to 12% of your salary
- A generous 50% staff discount in our store
