Client Liaison search for The Great Australian Sound in the Pilbara in new single video

Retroactive to the core.

Delightful duo, Client Liaison, has dropped a new single ahead of a national tour kicking off later this month.

‘The Beat Supreme’ follows in the upbeat, pop-leaning footsteps of previous track ‘The Real Thing’, while also offering a more grounded beat.

One half of the pair, Monte Morgan, says of the release, “The Beat Supreme’ is an ode to our musical heroes, the likes of INXS, Icehouse, Yothu Yindi and Christine Anu. The song is in many ways our mission statement, looking back to move forward, searching for the second wave to The Great Australian Sound.”

Tapping into that infectious Australiana energy, the accompanying video heads out to Western Australia’s Marble Bar. The result is a surreally funky outback tryst complete with coordinating getups and metal detectors.

“The red earth and spinifex, as well as the harsh rust and dust of mining, were the perfect backdrop for the song’s concept of searching and toiling the earth for our sound,” he said.
